Routine
Classic Lindy Hop
The Classic Lindy hop category is a lindy hop competition where dancers must present a choreography created without aerials, air steps, acrobatics or lifts. only "On the ground" moves (drops, slides, splits, etc.) are allowed and the routine must be a minimum of 2 minutes and a maximum of 3 minutes.
Lindy Hop Team
The Lindy hop Team category is for Lindy hop routines consisting of 3 couples or more.
Dancers must perform a creative choreography where all moves are allowed: aerial, air step, acrobatic, lift, etc. The routine must be a minimum of 2 minutes and 30 seconds and a maximum of 3 minutes and 30 seconds.
Crew Battle
It is a battle-style competition in which 6 team members consisting of 3 couples compete.
Round 1 is a Solo Jazz competition, consisting of two or more team members, each team has an 8x8 spot.
Round 2 consists of Couple Dance 2 or 3 couples with 8x8 spots per team.
If it is tied at the end of the second round, a major battle will be held, and the dice will be thrown to compete solo or as a couple.
In the case of the general competition, the focus will be on improvisational expression of music, not routine, and the evaluation will be conducted,
The final winner will advance to the next round.
Improvisation
Mix & Match
The Mix & March category is a social dance contest.
In the preliminary round, leaders and followers are randomly paired and danced to different styles of tempos and songs. Each individual will be evaluated individually and advance to the finals. In the final, the leader and follower form a partner at random again. It will be played in a spotlight format with a live band, and judgments will be made for each couple.
Strictly
The Strictly category is a social dance contest.
Dancers must register as a couple and the preliminaries will dance to different styles of tempos and songs.
The finals will be held in spotlight format with a live band.
In the case of judging, it is not forbidden to create a routine, but the judging process will focus on improvisation, creativity and relevance to music.
Solo Jazz
The Solo Jazz category is a jazz dance competition.
Dancers should include Charleston and Jazz movements and dance to music selected by the competition.
The finals will be held in spotlight format with a live band. In the case of judging, it is not forbidden to create a routine, but the judging process will focus on improvisation, creativity and relevance to music.
Rhythm & Blues Contest
The Rhythm & Blues Contest is a social dance competition.
Dancers must be registered as a couple and must be different from their Stictly partners.
The tempo of the song is 160 to 180 BPM, and it is a battle-type competition that is conducted in a tournament manner.
If the evaluation is conducted focusing on creativity, improvisation, and musicality, and the prepared movement is carried out at least 8x4
You will receive a penalty in the screening.
Levels
Rookie
This is for new dancers who have not started swing dancing for less than 2 years.
As of 2022: Start after 2020.06.01
Advanced
Recommended for dancers who regularly participate in national and international competitions.
Super Rookie
For dancers who have not been able to fully enjoy the rookie due to Corona, only dancers with 4 years of experience are allowed to participate.
As of 2022: Start after 2018.06.01
all-star
Only dancers who have won prizes in the Advaned category in national and international competitions are eligible to participate.
Open
Recommended for dancers who do not finish in the top 3 in national/international competitions or do not participate regularly.
Invitational
Only dancers invited by the organizer can participate.
